lovat

lovat's is a record shop that reimagines how music is explored. i designed lovat’s & geared it towards music loving young adults looking for a new way to experience music & design. by relying on the senses to shape perceptions of each vinyl, each listener will craft a personal genre for every record discovered. i designed each album cover based on my own sensory associations & will have everyone guess the album and genre they think it would be based on their personal built sensory associations.

for visitors at lovat, i designed posters that highlight the most common color associations for each genre, giving them a chance to compare their own interpretations with popular perceptions.

i also created album covers for four selected albums, using my own "synesthetic" impressions to craft textured abstract artwork that visually expresses the music.
